sundowner
A sundowner is a classic safari tradition where guests enjoy cocktails or drinks in the bush while watching the sunset over the African landscape. It’s one of the most magical and romantic experiences on safari — often set up in a scenic location after an evening game drive.
🔸 What to Expect During a Sundowner:
-
Scenic Location: Think acacia-dotted plains, riverbanks, or rocky outcrops with panoramic views.
-
Drinks & Snacks: Gin and tonic is the safari classic, but you may also enjoy wine, beer, champagne, or fresh juices — served with light bites or canapés.
-
Setup: Our guide usually sets up a mobile bar and folding chairs/tables in a secluded spot.
-
Timing: Happens just before or during sunset (usually between 5:30–6:30 PM, depending on the season).
🔹 Why It’s Special:
-
Combines bush elegance with wild ambiance.
-
Great way to unwind after a game drive.
-
Often a highlight for honeymooners, couples, and photographers.
