LEMOSHO ROUTE TREK- 10 DAYS

Introduction

Lemosho It is a remote, unspoiled and very beautiful route to the Roof of Africa, and the route is one of our favourites. This and the Machame Route are probably the most beautiful ways to climb up Mount Kilimanjaro.
Like the Shira Route the approach is also form the west side of the mountain. Lemosho is a long and technically difficult route but it does lend itself to less traffic and the great scenery with the added bonus of having a very high success rate for summiting. The Lemosho Route joins the Machame Route and summits from Barafu. Lemosho comes highly recommended by us!

The Marangu route is the most populated route on Kilimanjaro and is nicknamed the “Coca-Cola” route, followed by a lot of all climbers. In fact almost 50% of climbers take this route. The path is well defined and climber friendly to make your “expedition” to the top a little easier. The route offers accommodation in simply built mountain huts and is the shortest route to the summit. In the huts you can buy bottled water and soft drinks. This is a very scenic route with good views and excellent prospects for viewing wildlife. Since it is the shorter route it makes it more affordable comparable to the other routes.

RONGAI ROUTE TREK – 8 DAYS
Introduction
The Rongai Route is set apart from the others in that it is the only route that approaches Kilimanjaro from the northern slopes, close to the Kenya border. It is the perfect alternative for the rainy season and for those people looking or an alternative to the crowded Marangu Route. The Rongai Route does join the Marangu Route at Kibo and although the scenery is not as varied as other routes the Rongai Route does pass through some remote wilderness areas en route to Kibo. It also takes the Marangu Route on descent, offering trekkers the best of two beautifully scenic routes. Rongai is best described as a moderately difficult route but highly recommended for those wanting to get off the beaten track for a few days.
